Switched computers playing Perfect World, still have my account but lost my characters?

I recently switched computers from my old desktop to a new laptop. I used to play Perfect World on the old computer, but you can imagine my surprise after I downloaded it again, logged in, and didn't see any of my old characters anymore. Out of curiosity I tried to make a new character named the same as one of my old ones, but it said something along the lines of that was a duplicate name (thus I'm guessing it still exists). I haven't played in about a month, is it possible my character was deleted, or why can't I see them? Yes, I can log into my account, it's just I can't see or select my old characters.

I uninstalled the client from my old computer, so I would have to download it again to check it there. Some of the files were left after I uninstalled it, do I just need to transfer certain files?

um yes you need to transfer the files and i would sudgest that you talk to a gm in the forums to be sure.
