With 2 computers on a router can you make it that each has it's own settings?

The router is a iConnectAccess624 (4 port ADSL, ADSL 2/2+ router

1 computer has Win98se on it %26 works fine this one I want to have a P2P program on it called Shareaza (keeps giving me warning firewall detected) even when firewall removed from computer. (presume 1 in router) otherwise internet works well.

The other computer has Win XP on it and all functions work well. (this computer will not have a P2P program on it)

Like to have it so both computers have own settings (the P2P needs a port open which I only want open on the P2P computer and not the otherone.

Both computers are at the moment going thru the same router but I only have one computer on at a time. I do not want the computers networked together they must not be able to read each others files.

Your question is very difficult to follow. I believe that you want to have two computers on your LAN, not share any files between them. Have one with a P2P sharing program, the other not available to P2P.

Make sure file and printer sharing on both computers is DISABLED.

Make a port forwarding entry at your router such that all requests made by the P2P program are forwarded to a specific system's IP address. That one being the Win98SE system.

I don't get what you want.

First you were talking about opening up a port in your router to let the P2P program goes through.

The next you are talking about not wanting the computer to read each other files? Why do you even need this when you only have one computer turned on at any one time?

*confused and lost*
