Can't set up two computers on a network?

I had two computers on a network before, one was reformatted and we put all the information back on it.

Computer 1 can see computer two on the workgroup computers but can't access it... all the options are set up for sharing on the network, sharing is on for all the drives and everything else..

I can't get computer 2 to view computer 1 at all...

Please help me i need to setup these two computers for work...

It sounds like computer 1 is not set for network sharing of folders. I would check this first. You may require an admin log in from computer 2 to a valid admin account on computer 1 but you should see the prompt for this.

file and print sharing check that box if not add services
both on the same subnet? both in the same workgroup? try start %26gt; run %26gt; \\hostname if that works it may be a delay in the browsing service, just reboot.

if it doesn't try start %26gt; run %26gt; \\tcp-ipaddress. if that works and hostname doesn't its probably in a different workgroup or file and print sharing is disabled. if neither works, you have a network problem, maybe wrong subnet mask or eithernet problem
too long a question
