Three computers broke...any1 know why?

The symptoms:

At first one of the computers would just shut off inexplicably... but it was only once every couple of months or so; so it was no big deal. Then the second computer started doing the same. Eventually the first computer would shut down monthly then weekly then daily, until eventually it would shut itself down every 5 minutes or so.

The second computer followed suit until they were both unuseable. I replaced those 2 computers and the 3rd computer seemed to be doing fine... Until after about a month, it started doing the same thing... so now I have replaced it as well.

It is now to the point that they will turn on, but not boot up... In other words, the front power light will light up but the screen will be black.

Sounds like your computers are getting power surges and slowly it has been frying your computers mobo. If you have them plugged into a surge protector then the computers could just be getting old or they are just experiencing overheating.

ok first are these custom built computer from same place if so it sounds like the forgot the heat dispalcement compond between the prossor and the heatsink tcheck that out now if store bought (walmart ect) then they have a 1 year warenty if you are buying used machines then they may need to be blowen out from dust and dirt build up before being used but in any case it sounds like a overheating problem to me
I agree with the third reply - looks like overheating to me. Check and replace the CPU cooler. Make sure you put thermal transfer paste between the processor and the cooler. Make sure the computer has a decent fan at the back to expel hot air. If necessary, run the computer with the cover off the side - I do this as it overheats with the cover on when I run certain games!
