Computers Destroying Basic Self Esteem?

Are computer destorying the development process of early human developements of basic self esteem? I believe THEY ARE, because they are addictive for younger people today and distract them away from "real world experiences" with their very realistic "virtual world experiences". Computers also have more to do on them these days, thus further distracting younger people from developing their self esteem..out in the world on foot. Without developing self-esteem, one may become angry or depressed about missing out...they may even stoop as low as to feeling they've wasted their life on computers when they think about it. It's a **problem** and these machines should have limits before someone becomes addicted and "misses out." Not developing basic self esteem in one's younger years due to computers will remove one's basic self esteem for the rest of their life. Then again, if the whole world become addicted, then an evolution will work things out. What do you think?

The comic book character Impulse was a child of the future who possessed extraordinary speed. He was raised in a virtual environment that was sett to move in tandem with him. When he was released into the real world, he felt himself moving at natural speed while everything else moved like molasses.
