Are computers better then are minds, in what way.?

we read about 1000 words per minute, computers read millions. when you dealing with arithmitic, computers beat us bad. how are our minds better than computers and how are we different. some people want to succeed in life but robots could take that oppurtunity away.

Are computers better then are minds, in what way.?aurora

Computers actually have few advantages over humans. They can be built to withstand somewhat harsher environments. They are almost unimaginably faster processing commands at rates of hundredths of billionths of a second. And they have a much more reliable rate of repeatability.

Humans can actually think. Computers cannot do anything beyond addition or subtraction without a great amount of programming. Multiplication and division are done by various algorithms of addition and subtraction though done VERY quickly. Computers are limited by their programming and hardware. Humans physiology won't ever change much, but we can make tools such as the computer. Computers don't make tools. Any limitation we have, we can build some tool for...or almost any. Our minds don't have a known limitation short of death and disease. We can even make "jumps" outside of our known knowledge to learn new things. That is far beyond any computer. I could go on, but I think that I made my point. We win.
