so i have 2 computers both running XP, each with an ethernet cable running to a westell internet modem. a while ago i know i set it to where one computer could click and drag files to the other, but now whenever i try to connect them they wont show in "my network places". anyone have some step by step instructions on how i can get them to show? i also have norotn 360 on one computer and cant figure out how to disble it temporarily so it doesnt block the other cmputer, or is that not a problem?

Check the Windows Firewall settings on both and make sure that File and Printer Sharing is turned on.

norton firewall has disabled your network...uninstall it, put it back in the retail box and return it to where you purchased it for a refund... it only works for people afraid of terrorists...
