Quantam Computers and Nanotechnology?

Is it true that quantam computers are being developed that can simultaneosly complete tasks? Our current computers can't simultaneosly complete task, they are just so fast it appears as if they do. With quantam computers, we will be able to construct nanotechnology that can rearrange the atomic structure of a compound. Such as: side effects are caused by extra elements that react to complete the substance, but otherwise are unneccisary. We will be able to get rid of those unneccisary elements and complete 100% pure medicine with no side effects. Or 100% cocaine or pot. Eventually we will be able to command computers of the molecular size call nanites to construct anything out of mid-air. I find most of this hard to believe; but i think the time may come when this is possible. May i please have your opinion. Thank you.

I think your getting a little a head of yourself. Quantum computers are really only for super multitasking. If a normal computer or super computer is tasked to one process it can do exactly what a quantum computer can. and your wrong with the side effect things. The side effects are based on the patients health not necessarily how the drug is made. So the drug would need to make for each person individually to be 100% error proof and even then after saying all of this just a quantum computer itself cannot achieve any of this unless special programs and hardware , machines are created as well. and theses hardware and machines would also need to be 100% error proof to function properly. What your talking about might be possible but is years a head of our time. I think we would need to have quantum computers for many , many years before we attempt this.
