Are there computers both cheaper and better than XBox 360?

I'm in an argument that there are computers you can build or buy that are cheaper and better for gaming than the XBox 360. The argument is almost entirely spec related, and I'm quite confident there are better computers out there for a smaller price tag.

Can anyone give examples of computers than simply outspec the XBox for a lower price?

Yes there are the 360 is $399 + quick charger for $20 plus $100 for wifi + $200for hddvd.... The biggest hard drive you'll get is a120 and that is only iof you buy the elite for 479 so your total cost at the minimum will cost you $600 to $700 dollars for outdated dx 9 graphics and a motherboard with a 33% failure rate

so Right at this moment I am looking at a flier with a quad processor and 500 gig harddrive and a nvidia 8800 graphics card with 320gig independant memory ....THis computer comes preloaded with Vista TV tuner etc...... This computer is for sale for $589

THe same weekly paper has another computer for $399 with a nvidia 6150 graphics card..... and a dual core porcesor and a 250 gig hard drive...

dude nooo way, the xbox has three 3.2ghz processors, and an amazing ATI graphics card. When microsoft made the xbox, they struck an agreement with game developers stating that they would have to pay a certain amount of money to microsoft to develop games for the 360. Hence, they can afford to sell the 360 waaaay cheaper.
