I was wondering how today's personal computers work and I have a few questions relating to this.
How is the graphical user interface created for the computer and how does it work once installed?
How does the processor perform operations, if you look at it, it just looks like a a little piece of plastic and metal; how does it know what to do?
How does the computer display all of what is going on? Once, you have all of the chips, drives, circuits and everything else hooked up, how does it display all this in a way that is not just code, but actual images and words?
Please be very detailed.
