If computers are developed to the point where they have intelligence and personalities, how will we

There are so many people who say personality and intelligence are what really matter in a relationship. Well what about when computers have personalities and intelligence of their own, possibly better than humans?

Would people start... dating computers? (for lack of a better way to say it)

Think of a person who you love. Just being with them makes every moment a good one, and you could talk with them about anything.

Now imagine this person as a computer. Assume that they have not been designed to have bodies like us though, that they are still somewhat in the form of personal computers today.

Could you imagine having the same sort of relationship with one?

If computers are developed to the point where they have intelligence and personalities, how will we interact?ktm

no it wouldnt be the same as a real human, it would be superficial. Not possible.

I'm thinking that it would be a cross between a cell phone and when AT%26T or Apple has us involved in talking to their phone-answering computers. Sure, you could do a lot of talking, but the cell phone wouldn't scream on the roller coaster at the amusement park, and could not react to environmental stimuli like the sunset, or a full moon, or a ride in a fast automobile. You couldn't feed this cell phone a nice dinner . Unless this AI has a humanoid body, with a sense of gravity, touch, taste, smell, vision and hearing, it would be a very 2-dimensional, flat kind of relationship.
No, i dont think anyone will develop computers to the point where they can think on their on due to fear of what they will do. Either way read about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Blue
