Question about home networking computers with DSL?

Okay, I have one computer connected to a DSL2 + Router. Can I connect to the internet on my other computer without directly connecting the computers to each other or directly connecting the other computer to the DSL? How do I find out if the other computer has wireless network capabilities?

Yes, as long as you have a router and some type of Ethernet port or network card in your other computer, you should be able to access the Internet.

You should have your modem feeding into your router, which will repeat the connection between the computers you're trying to network. This way, you can have more than one computer online at the same time, for the price of one.

If you don't have a network card, you may have to have both computers hardwired to the router, causing you to lose some distance, as the connection can only be made as far as the cable will go.

Good luck, stay safe, and please have fun!

If you don't know whether or not it has wireless network capabilities, then it doesn't. You must purchase a card or a usb thinger majinger to connect. If your router is not wireless, u need to get one.
Connect one machine to each of the ports on the router with a cable and they should connect. If your router is wireless you need a wireless card in the other machines to use it. Most desktops do not have one, you should see it in the device manager if it has. Most laptops do have cards now.
Is the router wireless? If not, you will have to get a wireless router. Has an antenna sticking upif it is wireless.
