You need a video card to even get the windows graphics on your screen. So yes, all systems have some sort of video cards, most of which are integrated (which suck) and won't run much.

However, Sims2 is a little old and your computer MAY be able to run it. To see how big your video card is go to

Start -%26gt; Run -%26gt; type in "Dxdiag" without the quotation marks

then go to Video and see if it matches or is bigger than the one for the minimum system requirments for Sims2

well the fact you say it has 448 mb of ram tells me that it has onboard graphics and its probably 64mb shared graphics so no it hasn't got graphics card, but that doesn't mean you cant put one in.
its all very different new computer and since its cheaper the manufactures are putting intergrated cards inside them and like mine , mine is intergrated it is not T%26L compatible .........its very probable that the 2000 computer is not T %26 L compatible and the 2006 is just run a program like Sandra Or Everest (which is better) to find out what type of card you have ...
all computers have video cards as if they did not then they could not sell the thing ATI video card will play the sims 2 with out any problem also have 512 mbr for sims 2
All computers do have a video card, even if it's built into the machine, otherwise you wouldn't see anything when you plugged the monitor in. In fact you wouldn't be able to even plug a monitor in because the video card is the bit with the monitor socket.
