I have 2 computers run through a router at this time and what I want to do is add another computer, just to store, pic's, music and junk on. I want to be able to store to this computer from both the computers I have now.

Turn on file sharing, on all three.
Name all the machines the same "workgroup" name.
the computer names can be different.
turn on file sharing on the computer you want to access, chare the hard drive, with write acess as well. click on my computer and type \\XXXXXXXX with xxx being the ip address. it will search for shared folder. voila
