i really want to buy a computer. my mom says i cant because i will have to pay for internet service for my computer if i get it. but my family shares a family computer and we have PCL. i thought you only had to pay for one internet service, no matter how many computers you have. but my mom thinks that is not the case. please explain this to me!

We have 2 computers and get our internet service through our cable company. We only pay for one internet connection, and use a router to get internet to both computers. ( Routers are cheap.....I think we payed less than $40.00 for ours. )

no, just get a router and put them on the same network.

No you only have to pay one bill, get a router or use Internet connection sharing if you are on dial up. it is built into XP.
